Northeraire Lodge is located on Campbell Bay of Bayfield Sound, an 18 mile long inlet off of the North Channel of Georgian Bay. This sheltered water provides perfect conditions for fishing, boating, and family recreation. Fish the bays for smallmouth bass, perch, rainbow trout, and northern pike, or head for the big waters with a local charter service for a day of salmon fishing.

Enjoy the experience of the Canadian North without the downsides of "roughing it". Whether you're looking for a relaxing family getaway, or a first class fishing trip, you'll appreciate the luxury of a modern waterfront cottage with full bath.        The main lodge, built in 1932, is the center of activity at Northernaire. Enjoy the serenity of a rustic northern lodge with two massive stone fireplaces, handcrafted interior woodwork, and a full length porch overlooking the bay. Experience the relaxation, and relish the privacy and splendor of your own personal cottage at water's edge. Cottages range from single room to two bedrooms to meet the needs of your family or group. All have full baths and refrigerators. They are kept meticulously clean, and all the creature comforts such as bed linens and towels are always provided. In addition, all accommodations include breakfast and dinner served in the comfort of the lodge dining room. This is your opportunity to get away from the chores of everyday life, so relax and let us do the cooking.

After a day on the lake, enjoy the comfort and privacy of your cottage at water's edge.

Cottages vary in size to accommodate 2 - 6 people.

Our peninsula location provides you with a choice of sunrise or sunset view.

Your cottage is equipped with a full bath. All linens, towels & bedding are provided along with a refrigerator for snacks & beverages. Adirondack chairs beckon you to enjoy your porch or deck overlooking the lake.

Enjoy our natural white sand beaches with the whole family. The shallow water and sand bottom make it safe for children of any age.

Playground, paddleboats, bikes, shuffleboard, horseshoes, and beach volleyball, are among a variety of activities available.

Manitoulin Island provides many hiking areas and nature trails. Golf and tennis are available in nearby Gore Bay. Explore lighthouses, museums, harbor towns, art galleries, and craft shops.

Fisherman's Paradise

Smallmouth Bass fishing reigns as king in the ideal waters of Bayfield Sound! Rock shoals provide abundant structure for the "smallies" to challenge the most avid fisherman.

For a change of pace, spend some time rounding up your share of northern pike, perch, and rainbow trout in the bays and adjoining Wolsey Lake.

Our well-maintained fishing boats are available for rent, or you can bring your own boat and dock it at our full-service marina. Fishing licenses, live bait, tackle, fuel, and fish cleaning and freezing facilities are all provided for your convenience. We'll even cook your fish for you and serve it to you for dinner in the Lodge dining room!

The open waters of Lake Huron and the North Channel provide an outstanding fishery for king salmon, lake trout, brown trout, and steelhead. Several local charter boat services can provide you with an all-equipped day of big water fishing that you'll never forget.
